With a reputation for being a ‘workaholic’, it’s no surprise to anyone that even after 25 years in big business, Debra Exel is still not ready for the slow lane.
“My time in the telecommunications field as a management professional and Senior Project Manager has equipped me with a lot of hard-won wisdom and experience.” Debra says she’s “completely on fire” when it comes to applying this expertise to transform businesses and non-profit organizations. “It is so gratifying to work with executive teams and soloprofessionals to help turn their vision into a strategic plan that will yield hard results.”
Debra has served in several leadership capacities during her professional career, in both the corporate and community affairs areas. Currently, Debra is appointed to the City of Barrie’s Heritage Barrie Advisory Committee, is Vice President of Barrie Out of the Cold, Treasurer of the Simcoe County Historical Association and a Director with the Barrie Historical Association. Volunteerism is an important part of Debra’s life and she is committed to giving back to the community she lives in. She is also using her talents as Vice Chair and curator to a new startup organization, the Barrie Historical Archive, an exciting project that launched a digital museum of her city’s fascinating past.
